Khao Lak only 2 hours
North of Phuket, and about 3 hrs South of Ranong. This is a new resort
which offers lovely beaches located on the Andaman, West coast of
Thailand, Khao Lak is basically a 10 km stretch of white sandy bay
divided into a "back packers" end ( North end) with cheap bungalow
accommodation, and the more upmarket Southern end of the bay, with
quality beach bungalow, and hotel accommodation. Still really under
construction Khao Lak is proving to be a popular destination for stop
over's from Phuket and/or Khao Sok Nation Park. Expect to pay
anything from B 500 for a basic bungalow ( maybe not beach located
or seaview! and up to B 4000 per night for a 4 star style room
with good views.
